I never thought I would say that I love any gold jewelry as much as I love my wedding rings, but that is no longer the case. Two days ago, my husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and aside from a dinner out I really wasn't expecting anything special. We agreed that we would wait until the weather was a little warmer and in the spring we would take a trip to celebrate our 25 years together. What I was not expecting was a beautiful piece of gold jewelry from my husband that simply took my breath away.
My husband knows that I love gold jewelry. Most of the time I wear yellow gold jewelry, but lately I've also started switching things around a little and wearing white gold jewelry. My only problem was that my wedding bands are yellow gold and when I wore white gold jewelry; my wedding bands seemed to stand out against everything else. I never mentioned it to my husband or to anyone else, so l was really surprised last night when he gave me this 18kw Couture Rd Dia Semi-mt D.66tw (.30tw On Sides) that he ordered at A1 Jewelry Online whose great online web store can be found by visiting www.a1jewelry.com/. For those of you who know my husband, you know that he's the best gift giver. He always thinks everything through and he's able to pull off some amazing surprises, such as this one with the gold jewelry.
We were sitting in the restaurant having dinner and it was getting close to time for dessert. He excused himself to go to the rest room, and I really figured he was ordering champagne to toast our 25 years, but what he was doing instead was giving the gold jewelry to the waiter so that they could add it to my dessert. Sure enough, about ten minutes later, the dessert arrived and first they put down my husband’s dessert and then mine. I wasn't really paying attention, but instead was ready to dig into my dessert. As I looked down, I saw the beautiful ring perched atop the whipped cream. As soon as my husband saw the reaction on my face, he grabbed the ring and got down on his knee and asked me to marry him right in the restaurant. He said that this gold jewelry was a symbol of that love and this way I would have a white gold ring to wear when I wore white gold. I cried and the restaurant clapped and cheered. My husband has outdone himself again. The dinner was amazing, the gold jewelry beautiful, and his thoughtfulness couldn't have been better. |
