My girlfriends and I exchange gifts each year during the Holiday Season. We set a dollar limit on the gifts. We have a special Holiday girls party. We serve our specialties, mine is salami and cream cheese horsderves. One girlfriend makes a scrumptious cheese cake pie. The other brings tamales. We truly have a feast by the time everyone gathers. We rotate whose house we have these festivities at and this year it was my house.

Before the event and prior to shopping this year we decided on a group gift. You see, we have known each other for over twenty years. We wanted to represent our friendship this year with a heart diamond jewelry necklace. We really wanted matching necklaces so this year we all shopped together. The jewelry clerk was very attentive and it took us a short while to agree on one heart diamond jewelry necklace. Luckily the jewelry store had enough of them in stock and we made a collective purchase.

We were not allowed to wear the necklaces until our Holiday party. So, we each took one of those heart diamond jewelry necklaces home and wrapped it. Then when we met we put them in the center of the table. We ate, drank and chatted then we each grabbed a gift that wasn't wrapped by ourselves and opened it at the same time. Inside we all found the matching heart diamond jewelry necklaces, we put them on and simply smiled at each other and ended with a group hug!
