Throughout thousands of years, every culture in history has adorned themselves with gold jewelry. People from every walk of life love gold jewelry! Some people love to pile on multiple layers of gold jewelry, while others prefer to keep the look simple, with maybe just a 14k gold jewelry necklace and earring set.
I am fascinated by the Egyptians and their treasures of gold jewelry! The gold jewelry was not used just for adornment by the pharaohs, but they believed it help other magical powers to protect them from evil and they also used it is religious ceremonies. The golden scarab was a symbol of rebirth and renewal. The ankh amulet was used as a symbol of eternal life! They even believed gold was the flesh of the sun god Ra.
The Chinese people saw gold as being the yang of the sun, while silver was representative of the moon’s ying. The Chinese people were finally allowed to purchase gold in December of 2002, for the first time since 1949, due to the strict Communistic government. The Chinese people have increased their buying of gold bullion and gold jewelry every since then, as an investment commodity.
Gold jewelry has always held its value and I believe it’s a very wise investment, along with the fact that it always looks stunning!
