14 Karat Emerald & Diamond Pendant
gold jewelryI love gold jewelry that contains vividly colored precious or semiprecious gems. I have a lot of that type of gold jewelry but after looking through my armoire the other day I realized that I do not own one single item that contains emeralds. Since then I have been thinking about emerald and gold jewelry. Many of my shirts and sweaters are green because it is one of my favorite colors. Therefore it strikes me as being odd that I don’t own any emerald and gold jewelry and had never thought of buying any until recently. It’s also strange that I have never received an emerald and gold jewelry gift considering that I wear the color green so much. 
I thought about why I have never thought to buy emerald and gold jewelry nor received it as a gift. I came up with two possible reasons for this. First of all, emeralds usually come in a yellow gold setting and I generally prefer white gold. Secondly emerald is not my birthstone so my loved ones probably wouldn’t think to purchase it for me.  Well I have decided that I will make an exception and purchase yellow gold if it means getting emeralds to match my outfits.
