diamond jewelry

I have found a couple very effective ways to keep diamond jewelry clean. One is a bit non conventional and the other is product you can you get at any jewelry store or website. The bottom line is that if your diamond jewelry doesn't sparkle and glimmer it needs a washing.

Any jewelry store or on line jewelry chain will have a liquid cleaning product simply called "jewelry cleaner." It usually is sold in an eight ounce plastic jar. Inside you will find a small brush and cleaning tray. You can drop your diamond jewelry within the tray and dip it or soak it in the cleaning solution. Then use the brush and rinse thoroughly in lukewarm water. Always close the sink drain (I have lost stones down the sink before...). Dry with a lint free cloth.

The non conventional method involves using old fashioned cream toothpaste and an old toothbrush. In a pinch I have used this method to polish up some diamond jewelry before an event while out of town. Either way, keeping your diamond jewelry clean is very important.
